Salon Guest Quoted in HIV/AIDS Magazine

Dr. Vineeta Gupta, Executive Director of Stop HIV/AIDS in India Initiative (SHAII), who spoke last year at a Dr. Kaung's Salon at Space 7:10, is quoted in POZ about HIV/AIDS and public policy in India.

"Meanwhile, questionable AIDS remedies “are mushrooming all over India. In rural as well as urban areas, lack of affordable and efficient state-run health care structures results in these [remedies] being the only option for people in low socioeconomic strata. No political party wants to mess up with them, for fear of having an effect on their votes.”

Architectural History of Kefa Cafe's Building

Kefa Cafe is located in an early 1900s very charming brick building, designed and crafted to last by Silver Spring's Founding Fathers & Mothers, perpendicular to Silver Spring's Original Main Street Georgia Ave., and in Silver Spring's Fenton "Village."

Kefa Cafe is a stunning model of the multi-cultural small independent businesses enlivening Silver Spring's Original Main Street(s) and their structures! These multi-cultural small independent businesses resonate with the same enterprising spirit as Silver Spring's founders. With its interesting roofline, it recalls a Mediterranean style.
