Writer and artist Kyi May Kaung will give a "literature survey" type talk to introduce readers to the general subject of Cambodia Books to be discussed may include Francois Bizot's memoir The Gate, First They Killed my Father by Loung Ung, The Killing Fields (the movie), The Death and Life of Dith Pran by Sydney Schanberg, and Dr. Haing S. Ngor's autobiography co-written with Roland Jaffe. Free and open to the public.

New Short Plays by Local Playwrights

Calliope Arts and Theater presents selected scenes from Lincoln and God by Anthony E. Gallo, in which Abraham Lincoln wrestles with personal problems and conflicts, and O Sole Mio by Leon Levenson, which centers on the strange adventure of a shy man at a dating service.

During the month of March 2008 I will be showing 36 of my recent encaustic paintings at The Dennis & Phillip Ratner Museum in Bethesda MD. These will include the work that I did during my recent month-long residency at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA).
