Kefa Cafe is closed during July. Performances, events, salons are free and open to the public.

A work-in-progress viewing of "mergence." Plus audience discussion on multiracial identity in contemporary U.S. society with cultural anthropologist and filmmaker J. Tomiko Anders.

Artist’s Reception for Amy Kincaid and her current exhibit of paper collages

Sept. 8, Fri., 7:00 pm
Live Music: “Hurricane” Howie Feinstein, Keyboard, accordion, a little singing, plus background on the cultural roots of Louisiana roots music

Sept. 22, Fri., 6:30 pm
Historian Bijan C. Bayne will speak on the practice of exhibiting people of color as exotics and savages, the subject of his documentary-in-progress, “Show People”

Sept. 29, Fri., 6:30 pm
Dr. Kaung’s Salon: The Historical Buddha
