Women poets explore the many aspects of love, from bliss to the heart's conflicts. Hosted by Anne Becker and featuring Virginia Bell, Denise Denize, and Maria Velazquez.

ANNE BECKER is the author of The Transmutation Notebooks, and teaches creative writing and Writing the Body, a workshop for those who have experienced chronic or life-threatening illness at The Writer's Center. Her chapbook, The Good Body, is forthcoming from Finishing Line Press in 2007.

DONNA DENIZE is the author of the poetry chapbook, "The Lover's Voice" (1997) and a book of poems, "Broken Like Job" (2005). She served two years on The Folger Poetry Board and was also one of eight invited teachers for The Corporation for Public Broadcasting’s eight part mini-series, In Search of the Novel. She currently teaches literature at St. Albans School for Boys.

VIRGINIA BELL’s poem "No Pope" appeared in the Spring 2006 Wartime issue of Beltway Poetry Quarterly. On March 6, she will be a featured reader in the Takoma DC library Poetry Series. An adjunct professor with the English Department at Georgetown University, she has published scholarly articles on Eduardo Galeano and Leslie Marmon Silko. A stay-at-home parent of two young children, she lives in Takoma Park.
