SOUNDBYTES: Thanks to all who came out to Chick Hall’s Surf Club last month for the benefit show for Memphis Gold … This great bluesman is progressing on the long road to recovery, and your help has been greatly appreciated … As the weather heats up, so does the schedule for the legendary Bobby Parker and The Blues Night Band -- we will be real road warriors this Spring, hitting blues festivals and other dates in the Midwest, South, and East. Also: we will be providing entertainment for the troops at Walter Reed Army Medical Center later this month, and at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba for two shows in May … In addition to my regular evening shows this month at Kramerbooks & Afterwords, I will be playing during brunch on Sat. & Sun., Mar. 22-23.
